Ok, so many of us (especially us Yankees here in the North) think that Country music only consists of trucks, women, drinking, or some combination therof. However, I've learned to like Country music, in a big way because of some of the die-hard country music, Wee-fest infesting, Dierks Bently signed my stetson (I love you Bethany), I know every line dance there is - friends that I have, which I am very grateful for. This song is great. I love the part about "I'll earn your trust making memories of us". I really think that that is how God aproaches us. He does love us like nobody could ever love us, or even want to love us. We are loveable because He first loved us. We aren't very trusting of love by nature. Sure, we may start out believing in fairy tales and magic, but as soon as the world rears its ugly head in a breakup, an unfulfilled dream, or just people who look at you coldly for no reason, we start to become very skeptical of love. "What's the motivation behind it?" we wonder. God understands that we've been hurt by love, and is very patient with us. He shows His love for us in His failthfullness to us. He takes whatever trust we can offer to Him, and proves to us again and again that He is trustworthy. It sounds dorky, but He really does earn our trust making memories or our time with Him.
